Eid Celebration & 2010 AGM

Salam everyone!

Wishing you all have been having a lovely eid so far. :) Here's our next event, coming reaaaal soon, this coming weekend in fact!

The details are as follows:


Date : 19th September 2010 (Sunday)
Venue : Meeting Rooms 1 & 2 (Student Union Building, Kelburn campus)
Time : 10.45am - 1pm (updated!)


We're hoping there'll be a fair amount of culture-sharing because of Eid, so do wear your traditional attire and do bring a plate/tupperware of your traditional foods.


Food will of course be served during the event, but your contributions are highly encouraged. :D

About the AGM & Elections

If you are confident & would like to be a part of the Executive Committee for 2010/2011, you could nominate yourself by emailing us (vicmuslims@yahoo.com), stating which position you're interested in.

The voting process is simple: Volunteers will be introduced during the AGM, and if there's more than one person volunteering to hold the same position, we will go by the voting system.

The positions up for elections during the AGM are:

1. President
2. Vice President
3. Secretary
4. Treasurer

Don't be shy/afraid to nominate yourself because you will learn many valuable things from this experience.

Besides being able to meet awesome people and be involved with fun activities, you'll also (most importantly) be 'working' for Allah's sake. And it doesn't get any better than that. :)

Remember, if we have no volunteers and participation, there will be no Muslim Club next year. :(

Ramadhan/Eid Video Competition

A reminder about the video competition: You can still submit your Eid Video to us before the AGM. Submissions are due this Wednesday (15th Sept).

Powerpoint presentations are also acceptable as long as they can be seen as slideshows and not longer than 5 minutes (no, you don't have to 'present' them).
