Japanese Earthquake & Tsunami

Salam and greetings,

The recent earthquake and tsunami tragedy that has befallen Japan is immensely horrifying, as tens of thousands are suspected to have been killed, while more than a million homes have been destroyed. Until now, power and water are still not reaching some parts of the region, and emergency supplies are scarce in many of these areas.

It doesn't end there, however. There is a looming possibility that there could also be a nuclear leakage issue to be worried about, with several nuclear powerplants around the country.

Despite all this, the people of Japan are reacting to these disasters in a calm and organised manner, remaining positive through this ordeal.

As Muslims, we should take our time to reflect on how 'prepared' we are if this were to happen to us, and most importantly, do our part to help them get through the country's worst tragedy since WWII. Every bit helps.
